My passion for photography started in my early teens. What was a hobby soon became a career, and after a spell of travelling I settled in Johannesburg to become a successful full time professional, combining both advertising and social photography. Coca-Cola, L'Oreal, Oil of Lay, Barclays Bank and Nissan Cars were among my clients. In 1990 I returned home with my wife and young family to start a new studio in Manchester, initially working in advertising and design, but in recent years re-establishing the wedding side I much enjoyed in South Africa. I have embraced the move to digital capture with all its benefits, and revel in the speed and flexibility of the medium. I offer a personal service. When you commission Tom Pollock for your wedding photography I will take your pictures. I only accept one booking a day so you will never end up in the hands of an unexpected stand-in photographer. I believe the moment is all important.
