In September I was back as a Derbyshire wedding photographer for Julia & Paul’s wedding at St Michael’s & All Saints in Hathersage. This is a very atmospheric church, in a beautiful setting with lovely grounds, and as an added bonus there is the Rev. Katie Tupling who makes the ceremony special in a religious yet bang up to date accessible way. Top marks the Rev Katie! If the ceremony was memorable to a heathen like me you’ve done well!
Julia and Paul are both admittedly a little camera shy and asked me to slant my style to a more reportage approach and this is reflected in the higher number of guest pictures than I might normally take. The layout of this particular church and grounds lends itself perfectly to this and I had a very productive time unobtrusively shooting away, while still finding the time to sneak a few family members around to the other side of the church for a few personal shots.
The Bow-Belles the string quartet who had played so beautifully at the church followed on at the Maynard at Grindleford where the Bride & Groom held their reception.
