I was Tara and Michael’s Lancashire wedding photographer at the Gibbon Bridge Hotel which nestles deep within the Trough of Bowland, boasting a very pretty garden that is perfectly formed, rising and falling in perfect harmony with the the surrounding hills. If you want to get married outdoors with the full red carpet treatment, amidst beautifully planted and colourful gardens in a beautiful part of Lancashire, this hotel should be on your list.
Tara got ready at the hotel and the room was light and airy, just great for photography. It was a bright, on and off sort of day, and the rain was kind enough to end just when the time came to take the group photos. The natural contours of the garden plus the bonus of the bandstand steps were a real help, and the late afternoon sun provided a lovely backlight for the first set of Bride and Groom pictures taken just before the wedding breakfast. The second set were taken later to take advantage of the softer evening light, and I know the vertical shot of Tara and Mike on the lavender lined steps at the end of this blog will look fantastic as a full page in their Graphi album.
