Jennifer and Paul booked me to be their McDonald Hotel wedding photographer in early September. This was very much a happy family affair and probably one of the first to be held at this new Manchester hotel which is so well situated close to the Mancunian Way. The four cheeky little Bridesmaids kept everyone entertained while Jenni got ready and the airy open-plan bedroom suite made photography easy. (So often I’m backed up against a wall wishing for just a few more feet to work in!)
After the drinks reception the pre-booked taxis arrived to take the wedding party and close family into central Manchester for the photo shoot. For once it wasn’t too breezy for taking picture below around the curve of the Central Library building. I love this location and tried to use it with Abi and Chris the week before, but the wind rushing between the buildings made it completely impossible. Though they are both quite shy Jenni and Paul soon relaxed and were posing like a couple of pros, and we managed to get a lovely set of pictures in the can before it started drizzling in true Manchester style.
